How to Add Sections:
In this part of the guide, we will cover how to add sections to a custom template. We will show you how to add sections to a blank template; however, the process is the same if you have cloned a template.1. First thing is we will be required to create folders. Enter the Reference and Title of the folder, and ensure the type is set to Folder.
2. Then you can proceed to hit Create. You would then have successfully created the folder.
Note: If you want to add a folder to a clone template, select the Working Paper Index dropdown at the top of the page, and select New Folder. This will bring up the above box.3. You can now start adding content to the folders. For supporting documents, you can drag and drop these directly into the folder once you have expanded them.
You will then see a pop-up that asks you to confirm the Reference and the name of the file.
4. Click Confirm upload to add the supporting document to the folder:5. Next, we are going to create a checklist. Enter the reference and Title of your checklist, then change the Type to Program/Checklist. Finally, ensure you select the correct folder for the checklist to sit in:
6. Once you are ready, select Create, and you will be taken into the checklist:
7. At the top of the page, click the “edit mode” blue hyperlink:
8. You will now enter the name of your first section and then select the type of section you would like to create:
Common Sections Used:
Program without Assertions - This is procedures with the completed tickbox
Checklist - This gives users options of Yes/No/NA
Objective - Open text box, usually at the top of the page
2 comment box - Multiple columns, often used for table information
Sections with the word “Required” mean these are hard-coded sections that cannot be hidden
Optional sections will come with the ability to set to not applicable in the top right-hand corner of the section. We encourage trying different sections then deleting them to get an idea of the functionality.
9. Once you have made your decision on what section you will use, you can then press the Add button.
10. You can then start adding procedures. You have the choice of Add Row or Add Open Row.
Add Row will add a line for you to add a procedure that, once live in a file, is hardcoded and cannot be edited.
An open row will allow a user to edit the procedure in the file. This option is recommended only if the procedure has a date that may need changing each year.
Once you have added the row, you can then input the first procedure:
11. You can delete procedures or headings at any point:
12. You can re-order questions at any point by dragging the procedure from the left of the number:
13. Once you have completed your template, return to manage templates via the dashboard and set your Template to released.
