You can now export your trial balance directly to BrightAccountsProduction, even when your file uses a third-party chart of accounts such as Xero or QuickBooks. 

1. From the Trial Balance page click the import button and select “export to Bright Accounts Production”

 

2. A pop-up window will appear for BrightID then link to your BrightAP so you link your client files.

3. When you select "Export to BrightAccountsProduction," MyWorkpapers detects the source system and presents a mapping screen where you can review and adjust how each account code maps to the BrightAccountsProduction chart of accounts.

4. Use the dropdown on the right to choose the relevant Bright nominal codes, you can search by number or keywords.

Your mappings are saved for future exports, so you only need to set them up once per file. Known mappings are pre-filled automatically, and any unmapped accounts are clearly highlighted so you can resolve them before proceeding.

You can also choose to include journal entries in the export — they use the same mappings you have already confirmed, so no additional setup is needed.
