Log in to BrightWorkpapers using BrightID

BrightWorkpapers now uses BrightID for a more secure, unified login experience. This article explains how to log in, what to expect on your first sign-in, and how to reset your password.

 

Before you begin

BrightWorkpapers uses BrightID as its login method. BrightID is the single sign-on service shared across Bright products, giving you one set of credentials to access the tools you use.

 

Logging in for the first time with BrightID

The first time you log in after BrightID has been enabled, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the BrightWorkpapers login page and select Login with Bright.
  2. You will be presented with two login options:
  3. Existing Bright user: Enter the email address and password you use to log in to your Bright account. (This is the  login for used for any of our Bright products. This is your BrightID.
  4. BrightWorkpapers-only user: Enter the email address and password you currently use to log in to BrightWorkpapers. The system will automatically migrate your account to BrightID.
  5. Once authenticated, you will be prompted to re-accept the BrightWorkpapers terms and conditions. Review and accept these to continue.
  6. You will then be taken directly to your BrightWorkpapers dashboard.

Logging in on subsequent visits

Once you have completed your initial BrightID set-up, your future logins are straightforward.

  1. Go to the BrightWorkpapers login page.
  2. Select Login with Bright.
  3. If your BrightID session is still active, you will be logged in automatically. Otherwise, enter your BrightID email address and password.
  4. You will be taken directly to your BrightWorkpapers dashboard.

 

Tip: If your email address is registered against more than one Bright business, you will be shown a list of businesses after logging in. Select the one you want to access, or use the search field to find it, then select Continue.

 

Resetting your password

Once your account is on BrightID, you can no longer reset your password from the BrightWorkpapers login page. Password resets must be completed through BrightID directly.

 

Note: If you attempt to reset your password from the BrightWorkpapers login page, you will see a message confirming that this action is no longer available from this screen. This is expected — follow the steps below instead.

 

To reset your BrightID password:

  1. Go to the BrightID login page.
  2. Select Forgot password.
  3. Enter your registered email address and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Once your password has been reset, return to BrightWorkpapers and log in using your new credentials.

Troubleshooting

 

I am entering the correct password but the login is failing

Confirm that you are using your BrightID credentials (the email address and password associated with your Bright account), not your previous BrightWorkpapers-only password. If you are unsure which to use:

  1. Attempt to log in using your Bright account credentials first.
  2. If that fails, try your BrightWorkpapers credentials — if your account has not yet been migrated, the system will prompt you to do so.
  3. If both fail, reset your password via the BrightID login page (see the Resetting your password section above).

 

I am being asked to accept the terms and conditions every time I log in
This should only occur on your first login after BrightID is enabled. If you are prompted on subsequent visits, clear your browser cookies and cache, then log in again. If the issue persists, contact BrightWorkpapers Support.

 

I have reset my password via BrightID but I still cannot log in

Allow a few minutes for the password change to propagate, then:

  1. Clear your browser cookies and cache.
  2. Go to the BrightWorkpapers login page and select Login with Bright.
  3. Enter your updated BrightID credentials.

If you are still unable to log in, contact BrightWorkpapers Support.

 

I can log in but I cannot see my firm's data
Your BrightID may be registered against multiple businesses. After logging in, check whether you are prompted to select a business. If you are, select the correct firm from the list. If no prompt appears and your data is still missing, contact your account administrator to confirm that your BrightID is linked to the correct business.

 

The BrightID login page is not loading
Check your internet connection and try again. If the page is still not loading, check the Bright status page for any known service issues. If no issues are reported and the problem continues, contact BrightWorkpapers Support.
