Intro
This release adds Review Points export, alongside a number of improvements and fixes across BrightWorkpapers. Everything below is live from 8 October 2026.
New Features
Export Review Points to CSV
You can now export all review points in a file to a CSV file, ready to analyse, share or edit in Excel. The export includes the review point number, type, matter, comment, resolved and cleared status, workpaper reference, assignee, creator and created date. It is available to users with the Print and Export permission, and the file is named automatically using the file name and date.

Improvements & Fixes
Clearer message when signing in with Bright ID during planned maintenance If BrightWorkpapers is undergoing planned maintenance when you sign in with Bright ID, you now see a maintenance page with the latest maintenance message, a link to the status page and a refresh option. Once maintenance has finished, refreshing signs you in as normal. Tag: BrightWorkpapers
Company logos and profile pictures now display in the new design Your firm's company logo now appears in the top banner for client users, and staff members' uploaded profile pictures now appear in the user circle in place of their initials. Older images continue to display without needing to be uploaded again. Tag: BrightWorkpapers
Client name checks now apply to CSV and class.zip imports When importing clients from a CSV or class.zip file, any client name containing a character that is not permitted is now clearly flagged on the import screen and cannot be selected, in line with creating a client directly. All other clients in the file import as normal. Tag: BrightWorkpapers
Flow Analysis now shows only your latest general ledger import When you re-import a general ledger, either from Xero or by CSV, Flow Analysis now reflects the newly imported data only. Tag: BrightWorkpapers
Create new files for existing clients with a HAT audit subscription Firms with a HAT audit subscription only can now create new HAT audit files for existing clients from the New File screen. Tag: BrightWorkpapers
Faster loading of Review Points Review Points pages now load more quickly, particularly on files with a large number of review points. Tag: BrightWorkpapers
Group audit question now set correctly when rolling forward When you roll forward an audit file, the Customiser question "Is this an audit of group accounts?" is now set automatically from the file's template type: Yes for Group files and No for all others. The question remains read-only, and the B01 workpaper content now matches the file type.
